CV Optimizer
AI assisted CV optimization tool that extracts text from resumes and rewrites sections for clarity, skills matching, and recruiter readability.
Problem
Many job applicants struggle to present their experience clearly or align their CV to modern recruiter expectations. Manual rewriting is tedious, inconsistent, and hard to systematize, especially for junior applicants or non-native English speakers.
Solution
The app parses uploaded resumes, cleans the extracted text, identifies sections (skills, experience, education), and then applies an AI optimization pipeline to rewrite and restructure content. Users receive suggestions and alternate phrasing designed to improve readability and positioning.
Architecture
React Native frontend → Backend text extraction (Node/Python) → AI rewrite pipeline → Result formatting → Optional export. Supports PDF & DOCX ingestion and mobile-first workflow for uploads and revisions.
What I learned
Resume structuring, text extraction challenges, PDF layout parsing, token-efficient transformations, UX for iterative rewriting, and using AI to support rather than replace human intent.
